Meet the tranquil lakes and rivers around the Simpson River National Reserve on this kayak ride accompanied by professionals. You will not need experience to connect with the nature of Chilean Patagonia.
- Departure: 07:30
- Duration: 4 hours
- Pickup / Dropoff: Hotel in Coyhaique
What you will visit:
- 1 Rio Simpson National Reserve
- 2 Carretera Austral Sur
From Coyhaique, we will travel about 30 km on paved roads between high mountains and the Simpson River until we reach the area of the massif known as "Queque Inglés."
We will put on our gear and pay attention to the activity instructions and safety guidelines.
We will travel along the Simpson River for 8 km to the Los Torreones area. We will have the experience of being in a place where mountain trees dominate, with tall and distant coigües, some canelo trees, perhaps some chilcos, and the presence of deciduous forest, where we can recognize the calafate, which loses its leaves in the winter and regrows them with the arrival of spring. Among all this, we might see a condor or an eagle, a kingfisher with a bit of luck, and hear the famous chucao. There will always be a good moment for photography.
In the afternoon, we return to Coyhaique.
