The classic stilt houses of Pedro Montt, the artisan market of Dalcahue, and many other unforgettable landscapes are part of the visits included in this spectacular tour of the two most beautiful cities on the Big Island of Chiloé.
We will pick you up at your hotel to travel to Pargua, where we will take the ferry to the Big Island of Chiloé. During the navigation through the Chacao Channel, we may see sea lions, pelicans, and typical marine wildlife of this region.
Upon arrival, we will dock in Chacao, where we will be greeted by the island's traditional buildings, including some of its churches that are National Monuments. We will then continue to Dalcahue to explore its waterfront, the traditional food market of stilt houses, and the artisan fair. Later, we will walk to the Church of Our Lady of Sorrows, a typical Chilote construction declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Afterward, we will travel to Castro, the capital of the Big Island of Chiloé. We will visit the classic stilt houses of Pedro Montt, then continue to the San Francisco Church, located in front of the main square. Next, we will visit the largest artisan market on the island and the traditional Gamboa viewpoint to take photos of the bay.
Finally, we will return to Puerto Montt and Puerto Varas.
